Craig specializes in Income Tax preparation and has been in this profession for almost 30 years. He received a Bachelor Degree in Accounting in 1986 and holds a Certified Financial Manager designation and is a registered tax preparer with the IRS.

 

He is proficient with small business, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts as well as individual federal and state income tax returns. Craig assists our clients with tax, retirement and estate planning by examining their current portfolio and situation. He offers different paths to obtain their financial goals while striving to save taxes along the way. He is a licensed insurance producer and works with our financial planners to ensure the best tax results are obtained for our clients.

 

Craig is originally from Cookeville, but has made Hendersonville his home for the past 28 years along with his wife and five adopted children.

 

 

Craig Hendrix, CFM  |  Partner /Tax Specialist

Kellen joined the Granite Retirement team in January of 2016. He is a native and resident of Centerville, TN with Taylor, his Border Collie.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting as well as his Master’s of Business Administration from Freed-Hardeman University.  Kellen works in both the tax and financial areas of the business as a registered preparer with the IRS as well as having health and life insurance licenses and the Series 65 securities license.  In his spare time, he enjoys running, watching baseball and waterskiing.  He is a former baseball player and triathlete, completing Ironman Louisville in 2015, and still loves to talk about sports to anyone who will listen.

 

 

Kellen Beard  |  IAR/Tax Specialist

Crystal has more than 19 years of experience in the health and health insurance industry and is a licensed insurance producer in Tennessee with extensive experience working with the public and customer service.

 

Crystal serves as our operations manager and is responsible for administering and processing client applications while complying with FINRA and Broker/Dealer rules, resolving client issues as well as completing service requests.

 

She stays up to date with product training and guidelines. She also maintains various client databases, completes account reports and assists Craig with tax clients. She can assist those in need of Life or Health Insurance Medicare related health insurance products and Long Term Care.

 

She was raised in Dickson, and now resides in Humphreys County with her husband and two boys.

 

 

Crystal Heath | Operations Manager

Elaine has many years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping for small business, customer service and income tax preparation.  She has also been the owner/baker of a small dessert shop for the last nine years.

 

Elaine works in our Bellevue location assisting in the daily operations of the office as well as completing client service requests, database maintenance and assisting Craig Hendrix with tax returns. She is also proficient in Quickbooks and performs bookkeeping duties for some of our corporate clients.

 

She is a lifelong resident of Kingston Springs and has three grown children, two daughters and a son, that she enjoys  spending time with and enjoys the crazy antics of her two dogs and cat.

 

 

Elaine Turner | Operations Assistant

Rachel and Rebecca Campbell began working part time for Granite Retirement & Tax Advisory during the summer of 2013.  They assisted with office tasks and the special events we did throughout the year. They continued working seasonal through high school graduation from Travis Academy Fine Arts School in Ft. Worth, TX when they made the move to TN in 2015. They each had a few full-time jobs along with their seasonal work with GR&TA team until 2020.

 

In Feb. 2020 both Rachel and Rebecca became full time employees with Granite Retirement & Tax Advisory.

 

Rebecca (Reba) manages our Hendersonville office while Rachel (Rae) manages our Cool Springs office.  Daily they work with our bookkeeping clients which leads into preparing tax returns both corporate and personal, managing client tax document, and assist our team with serving the miscellaneous both routine and the random unexpected tasks that arise.

 

They were born in Wisconsin, raised in the awesome state of Texas, and currently call the great state of Tennessee home.  These twin sisters are true southerners at heart! They both have a love for animals and currently have a “fur baby” a tuxedo cat named Sam. Although these twins are quite similar, the two have different hobbies. Rae enjoys knitting as well as other crafting activities, while Reba enjoys cooking and traveling especially long road trips. They are a true asset to GR&TA, and we are glad to have them as part of our team!

Leslie is a native of Nashville, TN and she joined the Granite Retirement & Tax Advisory family on July 1, 2012 excited and ready to serve our existing as well as future clients. GR&TA currently has 3 office locations and she travels between them each week.

 

She is licensed in Life, Health, and Accident insurance, she takes the IRS Annual Filing Season Program Exam each year with the goal and intension of taking the Enrolled Agent exam to earn Enrolled Agent (tax advisor) credential within the next few years, she is QuickBooks pro-advisor certified, and assists our tax specialist throughout the year with tax planning for our clients as well as the preparation of corporate and personal tax returns.

 

Leslie is the Special Events director which encompasses planning and assisting with educational workshops, she works with nonprofit agencies sponsoring charity & community events, and works with our GR&TA team to organize and host client appreciation events for our existing and future clients.

 

Leslie thoroughly enjoys where her life’s journey has led her. She has wonderful family and friends surrounding her and spends her “free time” outdoors as much as possible and on rainy days loves building puzzles.

Rebecca Campbell | Bookeeping & Office Management

Wanda began working at Granite Retirement and Tax in August of 2017.  She comes to us with an extensive background in bookkeeping. She has had the privilege, for the past 40 years, to do bookkeeping for small family owned businesses, usually in a one to two person office, resulting in experience in Payroll, Payroll Taxes & Forms, IFTA (Fuel Users) Tax Forms, Vehicle Title and Loan Application Forms, handling any Administrative duties that needed doing.

 

She was born and raised in Southern New Hampshire (the Granite State).  She has been married for 38 years to her husband Wayne, she has four children and 20 grandchildren and enjoys crocheting, flower gardening, refinishing furniture, spending time with her husband and family and really enjoys being a “gramma”.

 

Wanda is very excited to be part of The Granite team’s very friendly and relaxed work atmosphere, while focusing on doing quality work in a timely fashion, and is looking forward to serving their clients in the same manner.
